Incredible Wedding Day Moments

Published

on

Your wedding day is supposed to be the most important day of your life. It’s the day that you get to marry the person you love, and it’s the day that you get to celebrate with all of your family and friends – and it’s pretty awesome, right? After all, weddings are full of love, laughter, and delicious overpriced cake, food and drink that allows your guests to enjoy the little shindig that you meticulously planned for months on end.

While most weddings go down without a hitch, there’s no doubt about the fact that things can sometimes go a little wrong. Amazingly, these hilarious wedding fails were caught on camera for us all to enjoy.

What a Catch

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
We can’t decide whether this groomsman is the ultimate catch, though. We all know that a bridesmaid often catches the bouquet to note that she’s next on the wedding list, but what does it mean when the groomsman drops the cake in front of the happy couple?

Don’t Let Go

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
We have a feeling that this happy couple didn’t mean for their pontoon to start sinking in the middle of the lake, but we all know that there’s only room for so many people on these pieces of wood.

SOS

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
One groom decided to put out a little SOS to his friends and family while in the midst of his vows. Perhaps he was urging them to speak now, or forever hold their peace. We wonder whether he went through with it in the end?

Caught in a Trap

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
It’s no secret that men often get married for their partners’ sake, and some have even noted that they were caught in a trap when it came to agreeing to get hitched. It seems as though that’s exactly what happened here because this groom got fully trapped in his bride’s veil.

Keeping Themselves Busy

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
While these wedding guests decided to create a human pyramid to keep themselves busy while the couple was away, they quickly realized that the extra glass of champagne they had drunk probably hadn’t worked in their favor. Soon, they all came tumbling down in one giant heap of limbs.

Just Horsing Around

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
The whole thing is a little strange, but there’s no doubt about the fact that we’ve never seen a wedding photograph like it. Of course, there is a chance that these people really are centaurs and they made their way onto the beach for a centaur wedding, but we’d say that was highly unlikely.

Happily Ever After

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Instead of opting for the white dress and the penguin suit, these guys decided to give their guests the chance to dress in costume – because that’s exactly what they were going to do. They became Princess Fiona and Shrek, and their nuptials were watched by Minnie Mouse, Captain Jack Sparrow, and a nurse.

Showing Those Muscles

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
When their wedding photographer came around to snap a few pictures of the happy couple, they decided to show off their muscles by striking this pose. The end photo is something truly hilarious, and we’d like to think that these two ordered this photo in the biggest size to stick on their wall.

Wrong Camera

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
We’ve all been there. Two cameras call for your attention at the same time and you and your friend both look at a different one. Always a good laugh when you revisit these hectic, pre-ceremony moments.

Stealing the Show

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Must be a bummer to be the bride and still get outshined by your more attractive bridesmaid. The camera man appears to be bored of the distracted bride, and decided to spend his time shooting the person who appreciated the attention more.

Tremendous Trio

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Hard to keep your eye on the bride when these three are lined up in the background. With their natural good lucks and stylish matching outfits, it’s hard to blame the guests for wanting more pictures with them instead of the newlyweds.

Third Wheel

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Sometimes when you get married, your best friend wants to piggyback on your big day, which can end in many ways. Three’s a crowd in this photo-op, and awkwardly it appears this bridesmaid wanted all the attention. They were happy to give her a leg up on the others.

Monkeying Around

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Not all weddings are conventional, and this groom certainly chose to show his goofy and hairier side, dawning the gorilla mask in his official pre-wedding shoots. His soon-to-be wife still looks at him admirably though, which is a good sign for a long-lasting relationship.

Getting a Little Tired

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Most couples can’t sleep the night before due to nerves and excitement, then they have to rush around, making sure they’re ready for the big event, and that’s before we mention having to socialize with hundreds of people. Because of this, we don’t blame this groom for getting a little shut-eye as his wife drinks a coffee to wake her up.

The Great Outdoors

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
This probably wasn’t what this bride bargained for, though. We bet being mauled by a squirrel wasn’t so great at the time, but let’s hope that they could laugh at this photo once the scars had healed.

Good Enough to Eat

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and thought that you looked good enough to eat? Well, this bride obviously thought the same thing when she put on her wedding dress. It seems as though they both love the bride, so they ordered their cake maker to transform their wedding cake into a mirror image. Well, it’s certainly a little different.

Spidey Senses

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
This is the one photograph that surpasses all others and shows the love that exists between the happy couple. You know, like this one. This groom obviously decided to embrace his inner Spidey senses for this photo and opted to crawl up the metal bean and tip his wife’s chin up to reach his. That’s actually pretty romantic.

Taking a Tumble

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Would it really be a wedding if someone didn’t take a tumble and land on the floor? On the rare occasion, though, we do see the bride and groom take a tumble – but this is one of the worst we’ve seen. We’re not quite sure whether this woman fell over or whether her groom decided it would be funny to push her, but it probably wasn’t funny at all.

Genie in a Bottle

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Although some wedding photographers use real people and real images to create the final photographs, there are others who like to play around with special effects instead. This photographer seems to be one of them. While he could have just left this couple standing next to each other, he instead opted to turn the groom into the bride’s very own genie in a bottle. While there’s no doubt about the fact that it’s unique, we kinda understand why this style hasn’t caught on over the years.

Blowing in the Wind

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Bridesmaids and maids of honor have a lot of responsibility to uphold on the big day. As if that wasn’t enough, they also need to hold the train of the dress as she walks down the aisle – but this can be pretty difficult if they have to walk outside. This maid of honor couldn’t quite handle this responsibility, mostly because it was way too windy.

Having a Fall

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
We’re gonna go ahead and assume that this wasn’t on his agenda, but he still managed to make a very dramatic entrance with his new wife by falling down some stone steps. In fact, those look like they would seriously hurt you – but he probably knew that he couldn’t show his guests that it hurt him.

Feeling Peckish

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
These dogs often act as ring bearers, they often walk down the aisle with their moms, and they pose for photos with their newlywed owners. Of course, dogs aren’t the greatest at sitting still – which means that they can be a slight nuisance when it comes to taking these photos. This pug was obviously feeling a little peckish during this photoshoot and just couldn’t ignore the pretty flowers.

The Human Centaur

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
When planning their wedding day, many brides like to know that they are going to make an entrance. For her big day, she chose to mount a horse and trot her way to her wedding venue, but what she didn’t quite realize was that she blended into this horse perfectly. With her white dress and the white coat of this horse, she became a human centaur.

The Ultimate Plank

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
While some people choose to get married without any guests, there are others who couldn’t even imagine their big day without their friends and family beside them. During some of their most loving and tender moments, these photos were photobombed by one of their guests trying to enact the ultimate plank – and we have a feeling that he succeeded.

One big, Happy Family

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
If you have a large family and have welcomed kids into your lives, then it’s a no-brainer that they should be able to attend your wedding as well. After all, many children would want nothing more than to see their parents tie the knot. However, that doesn’t mean that they are going to be happy about the whole day. With short attention spans and the attention away from them, many children find themselves getting more and more grizzly as the hours go by – and it seems as though these kids are no different.

Which Way to the Beach?

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
While some simply put on their best smile, these guys obviously wanted to pull down their best pants. The end result was something that makes us feel a little chilly, and we can’t help but wonder what they’re doing. Are they deciding which way it is to the beach? Or did they just fancy a cool down after seeing all of the beautiful bridesmaids?

Head Over Heels

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
It seems as though this bride and groom took that phrase a little too literally, though, as they quite literally fell head over heels for each other on their big day. Let’s just hope they didn’t get any grass stains on their clothes.

Watching Over Them

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Many couples like the idea that their late friends and family members are watching over them as they tie the knot, but it seems as though this couple actually had something looking over them as they tied the knot. While it’s not every day that you see a couple get married at the aquarium, these guys decided that they wanted to be at one with the underwater world for their big day.

Fighting for Attention

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Children like to be the apple of everyone’s eye, and they don’t like other kids coming along and stealing their thunder. Because of this, we can only assume that this flower girl didn’t like the fact that the page boy was getting all of the “oohs” and the “awws,” so she decided to kick him to the ground and leave him there. We don’t know if that’s genius or if that’s just a little worrying.

All About the Ring

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Although the ring is only a small part of being engaged and married, there’s no doubt about the fact that many people find this very exciting. It seems as though these men are some of those people – and we don’t blame them. A wedding ring symbolizes the fact that someone has dedicated their lives to someone else, and that’s definitely a big deal.

Holding Him Up

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
It’s important for many grooms to have their groomsmen by their side, as these guys have seen all of the people he’s dated in the past – and they know just how much of a big deal it is to see that their friend is finally settling down. These guys wanted to showcase their friendship in front of the wedding photographer, but they just couldn’t come to a conclusion on what pose to choose.

All in the Details

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Well, if you’re looking for details, then this photo definitely has it by the bucket full. While we know that this photo is just a joke, the specifics are all there to make it seem as though it’s totally real. There are blood splatters on the camera, there’s saliva coming out of the groomsman’s mouth, and the ring on the groom’s finger does look pretty intimidating.

A Nasty Smell

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
If you’re an animal lover, you may have always dreamed of having your wedding somewhere natural and where animals can be involved. What this couple didn’t realize, however, is that farmyard animals can get pretty smelly. From the looks on their faces, it seems as though those cows were letting off a nasty smell. At least that’s what the bride’s face looks like, anyway.

So Not Cool

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
There are many couples out there who love to flaunt their love and show the world that they’ve been extremely lucky, and there’s nothing wrong with that. After all, if you’re happy and you know it, you’ve got to show it, right? It seems as though this bridal party has seen a little too much love from this couple, though, and they decided that it was better if they just shielded their eyes and turned their faces away from the gross PDA.

Climbing the Ladder

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
When women are choosing their wedding outfits, they often like to add a veil into the mix to make the whole ensemble look even more special. While veils are absolutely stunning, they are made from lightweight material that can fly off in the wind if you’re not careful. Unfortunately, this bride realized this for herself when a gust of wind caught the fabric and blew it into the trees.

Losing Them

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Watching your best friend get married can sometimes be tough. On the one hand, you’re over the moon that they have found someone they want to spend the rest of their life with. On the other hand, it’s difficult to come to terms with the fact that you’re going to have to share them with someone else – and that you might not be able to see them as often. These two sets of best friends obviously couldn’t bear to leave each other’s side even on the big day, so they kept things pretty close.

Seven is a Crowd

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
They often say that three is a crowd, but it seems as though seven may be a crowd in this case. Weddings are full of couples who want to share the love that fills the venue, and these couples also love to show off this affection when the photographer comes around. However, the guy on the left found himself in a sticky situation when he realized that he didn’t have a date to take to the wedding and that he would have to fly solo.

Keeping Things Casual

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
We can only assume that this couple went for the latter option, and they even chose to customize their own outfits with their own graffiti art. We particularly love the fact that the groom is wearing jeans and a cap. That’s one way to do it, and that’s certainly one way to make your wedding day unique.

Causing a Scene

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
With so many people hanging around and so many people taking photos, there’s just no way that you can ensure that you’re not in the background – but you can be a little more vigilant. Despite the fact that the woman in the blue dress realized at the last minute that she was in the shot, she just couldn’t make it out of the way fast enough.

In the Dog House

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
We don’t know whether these dogs belong to the couple or their guests, or whether they are just strays who decided to take advantage of the food crumbs making their way onto the floor. Either way, we have a feeling that this bride didn’t take too kindly to the fact that her veil was being pulled off her head by one of the dogs. The groom seems to find it pretty funny, though.

Down the Stairs

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
For any wedding photographer, getting a shot of the bride and her bridesmaids walking down the stairs is pretty important – and that’s exactly what this photographer tried to do. However, this all came crumbling down when one of the bridesmaids dropped something, and then all of them got involved to see what was going on. It probably wasn’t the shot that the photographer was after, but it’s still a candid insight into the big day itself.

Swinging Around

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
This couple decided to go all out for their beach wedding, and they even took advantage of the many swings that their beachside venue had to offer. It was a great place for them to take photos, and it was a great place for them all to hang out – quite literally. Unfortunately, the bride and groom got a little too excited on their swing, and they soon found themselves taking a tumble and falling to the ground.

All of that Material

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
If you have ever worn a wedding dress, you’ll know that these things are made from a lot of material. They are heavy, they are awkward, and they are a nightmare when you need to go to the bathroom. Many brides have to enlist the help of their bridesmaids to ensure that they can use the toilet, and it seems as though this bride was no different.

Taking a Breather

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
This couple found themselves in a sticky situation when they saw their grandmother walking down the aisle to her seat. In an instant, she started to fall to the ground – and the couple instinctively reached out to grab her. What they didn’t intend to happen, though, was that they would also tumble to the ground as they tried to save their grandmother.

Catching Some Zs

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Wedding ceremonies can go on for a while, and those who aren’t involved can find it pretty boring. What you don’t expect, however, is for the person conducting the wedding to fall asleep. We can’t help but wonder whether they allowed him to have a rest or whether they decided to leave him be.

Not So Impressed

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Buying a wedding gift for a newlywed couple can be hard. What do you get them? Some people play it safe and buy salt and pepper shakers, but one guest decided to play things a little differently and hire some traditional dancers to perform at the wedding reception. The bride was obviously not expecting such a gift.

Ready to Pop

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
If you’re the kind of person that doesn’t like to stick to tradition, then it seems as though you’re not alone. Many couples tend to stay away from the traditional outfits that many people expect of them, and this bride was so excited by her creative wedding dress that she was almost ready to pop.

Losing Balance

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
This couple obviously wanted their son and daughter involved in their special event, but as they were posing for the camera, they didn’t quite get the opportunity to keep an eye on their flower girl. It looks as though she’s lost her balance and is falling back onto the ground below – and her parents are none the wiser.

Wearing White

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
While there are some brides out there who don’t mind if their guests wear white to their wedding, many believe that it’s the highest form of dishonor. Because of this, you can see that this bride – whichever woman that is – doesn’t look too happy to find someone else wearing a white dress that looks suspiciously like a wedding dress.

The Window Shot

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
Wedding photographers have worked in the business for many years, and they know the kinds of shots that look good – and the bride looking out of the window with her hand on the glass is one of them. The end result looked more like she was longing for someone other than her husband, but let’s just hope that wasn’t the case.

Flawless in Floral

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
It’s not uncommon for brides to choose bridesmaids to stand alongside them on their wedding day, and while many bridesmaids have their say when it comes to their outfits, others don’t. Yes, many brides take the lead when it comes to choosing what their friends wear, and they choose outfits that will compliment them, but not compliment them enough to the point where they look better than she does.

Something Blue

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
It’s an old tradition that brides need to wear something old, something borrowed, and something blue on their wedding day – but there’s no doubt about the fact that blue is a very niche color to wear on your big day. This woman obviously thought that she had come up with the perfect solution to this problem, and she simply drank some fizzy blue pop before the big event instead.

Smiling for the Camera

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE BELOW
This bride knew that she wanted photos to remember her big day, so she posed next to her mom and dad with her bouquet in hand. Of course, what she didn’t realize was that her parents weren’t the only ones in the picture. It seems her dog also wanted to get in on the action, but he just had to do his own business before he could fully commit to the picture.
